WADA REMOVES EQUATORIAL GUINEA FROM THE WORLD ANTI-DOPING CODE’S NON-COMPLIANT LIST
Montreal, 12 December 2017

Dear Colleagues,

Today, further to a circular vote by the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA’s) Foundation Board, WADA removed the National Olympic Committee of Equatorial Guinea, acting as the country’s National Anti-Doping Organization, from the list of Signatories previously deemed non-compliant with the 2015 World Anti-Doping Code (the Code). The National Olympic Committee of Equatorial Guinea completed and submitted its Code Compliance Questionnaire; and, in so doing, reported on its compliance to WADA.

As stipulated in Article 23.5.5 of the Code, WADA will now report the removal of the National Olympic Committee of Equatorial Guinea from the list of non-compliant organizations to the Sports Movement and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

WADA continues to work with the remaining non-compliant Signatories (the National Anti-Doping Organizations of Kuwait, Mauritius and Russia) to address their outstanding issues.

Best regards,

World Anti-Doping Agency
