WADA ISSUES CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR 2019 SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH GRANTS
HELP ADVANCE ANTI-DOPING RESEARCH
Montreal, 14 December 2018
Dear Colleagues,
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is pleased to issue a Call for Proposals for 2019 Scientific Research Grants.
Science is key to driving advances in anti-doping. Innovative, fact-based research helps the anti-doping community identify new trends in doping, new drugs, new delivery mechanisms and new methods of detection.
Since 2001, WADA has committed more than US$80 million to helping researchers around the world develop breakthroughs in anti-doping science. These grants are critical because they increase the volume of research dedicated to developing new and improved detection methods for performance-enhancing substances and methods as well as attract the best minds to this cause.
Scientists interested in submitting research projects are invited to submit their applications by 15 February 2019 (24:00 GMT).
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is the international independent organization created in 1999 to promote, coordinate and monitor the fight against doping in sport in all its forms. The Agency is composed and funded equally by the sports movement and governments of the world. Its key activities include scientific research, education, development of anti-doping capacities and monitoring of the World Anti-Doping Code - the document harmonizing regulations regarding anti-doping in all sports and all countries.
