The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announces the publication of the following Technical Document:
TD2018EAAS- Endogenous Anabolic Androgenic Steroids Measurement and Reporting along with the Summary of Modifications.
The new TD2018EAAS replaces the former TD2016EAAS, which was modified to include some changes regarding:
- the reporting of the “steroid profile” from the Initial Testing Procedure
- steps to follow when there are suspicions of sample manipulation or tampering
- clarifications on the application of the quantitative Confirmation Procedure for the markers of the “steroid profile”, as well as
- the performance of GC-C-IRMS analysis following the notification of an Atypical Passport Finding
All WADA-accredited Laboratories are required to implement this Technical Document in their procedures by 1 September 2018.
