WADA INVITES STAKEHOLDERS TO THE 6THINTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON NOVEL
PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES
Montreal, 17 October 2018

Dear Colleagues,
 
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is pleased to invite stakeholders to the 6th International Conference on Novel Psychoactive Substances (NPS). Jointly organized by WADA, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA), the University of Hertfordshire, the University of Maastricht and the Sapienza University of Rome, the event will be held from 8-9 April 2019 at Maastricht University in Maastricht, Netherlands.
 
The main objectives of this event are to share evidence-based information on NPS and latest trends of use; improve the understanding of clinical treatment and management of NPS use; explore policy and legislative responses to NPS; develop innovative prevention measures for vulnerable individuals; identify public health implications of NPS and explore motivations and socio-cultural factors underlying NPS use.
 
Stakeholders that are interested in attending the conference, and that would like to benefit from an early registration rate, are invited to register on the conference website by 1 December 2018. Otherwise, registration closes on 5 April 2019.
 
Stakeholders that wish to submit abstracts are invited to do so by 1 December.
