Operation Viribus, the joint action against the illegal trade of doping substances, dietary supplements and counterfeit medicines has ended earlier this week.
Viribus was led by EUROPOL, in cooperation with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and public authorities of participating
countries , including Hungary.
It is our pleasure that HUNADO, by giving its expertise to non-ADO participants, could contribute to the success of this unique, joint investigation program. We are proud that, within the framework of Viribus, HUNADO could welcome numerous distinguished participants of the program in Budapest this May. As it has been reported earlier, EUROPOL, WADA, EuroJust, and Central European NADO delegates, as well as prosecutors, police and custom officers were invited by HUNADO to gather in Budapest and discuss their joint strategy against the illegal trade of prohibited substances.
In Hungary, Operation Viribus resulted in 21 criminal proceedings, and 24 arrests.
